Good morning
all. Last night Sheriff Garrett came with a warrant for
Greg
Billy the Kid has been shot!
In his quest to find Runaway Sam Cobra, Sheriff Pat Garrett has been moving around the country, interrogating witnesses, capturing some of Sam's various comrades in crime, and trying to catch the evil renegade . . . During his time
here in Indiana, the Sheriff has been VERY busy, as will be reported
by Pat Garrett himself as he leaves town. For now, it is enough The Sheriff has
been going around to the various ranches in the area, gathering information.
The Colonel, a former Confederate officer, and his daughters reported
a whole herd of cattle lost to rustlers in recent weeks. Don Carlos,
whose hacienda is part of an old Spanish land grant that goes back to
the earliest history of the area, had his vaqueros and his lovely daughters
entertain Pat Garrett after telling him about a whole herd of Then, Pat Garrett stopped to talk to Pete Maxwell, whose daughter is supposedly a love interest of the notorious Billy the Kid. Rumor has it that Billy helped Sam Cobra rob the stage. Anyway, the Sheriff arrived late and found Pete in bed. They are old friends, so Pete told him to come on in. Pat sat down on the edge of Pete's bed to ask him about the outlaws he's been tracking. Just then, Billy the Kid walked into the room, carrying a knife he had been using to slice some meat out on the porch. Coming into the dark room, he realized someone was there and he cried out, "Quien es? Quien es?" Sheriff Garrett didn't waste a second--he pulled his pistol and shot Billy the Kid! This should guarantee
the Sheriff a place in the annals of the West, but he Wait . . . word
just in . . . the Sheriff has caught Gunfighter Ellen, who was Maybe these developments
will help the Sheriff figure out which way to Professor Jim Saturday, February 26th, 2005........... continued...
When asked for
comments, Sheriff Garrett noted that his new helper "has real Indy Jones has a vintage Johnny West head and a reissue Custer body and carries only a reissue silver cavalry pistol and a pair of handcuffs. The Sheriff hopes that Ranchers they encounter during future visits will donate all of the help and equipment they can to outfit both Garrett and his new deputy. One bystander
observed that there might be a number of reasons why Garrett seems so
reluctant to take along a sidekick. "Maybe he wants all of the
glory of Nevertheless, the Sheriff now has a deputy to help him out on his quest. The saga continues. Sunday,
February 28th, 2005 Another update from the Midwestern Hideout in Indiana . . . As Sheriff Pat Garrett was preparing to leave town, he was approached by Gunfighter Ellen's lawyer, who wanted to cut a deal for her. After some tough negotiating, they agreed on the terms. Basically, what it means is that, in exchange for all of that valuable information she provided to the law about Sam Cobra and other outlaws in the area, Gunfighter Ellen has been freed. Apparently, the local law enforcement officials didn't want to have to bring her to trial, but they didn't want her operating in the area anymore. She was let out of jail, given back her pearl-handled revolver, and temporarily released into the Sheriff's custody. The terms of her deal require that she leave town with Garrett. From inside sources,
I've learned that Ellen really wants to find Sam Cobra.
Howdy Ranchers, Great news from Rochester, after 35 days on the road without a word, Sheriff Garrett finally arrived! How's that for priority mail?!?!?! Whew! Much relief
on my part, as I was ready to replace him and his I'm looking forward
to your report, Tom, to see how the lawman does Professor Jim Bruno (and all other ranchers, to keep you in the loop), Stony
